Welcome
to Expatkorea!
Whether you are a current, former or future Korean expat,
you're welcome in our community forum! Registered forum users can use live
chat, play flash games, play poker with other users in the casino, post photos to the gallery, and use many other
interactive features within the website. Registration is simple and free.
We won't ask you to write an essay to join, we don't care about your home
phone number and address, and we don't accept ad revenue from unscrupulous Hagwons or recruiters. As a matter of fact, this website is 100%
commercial advertisement free.
There are several hidden forums on the site
with access to logged-in registered users only. Unless your boss has a login
at the site (not likely) or you didn't log out from your work, user
posts in those areas will be hidden from non-expat user view. Don't get
yourself in hot water! Use common sense whenever posting comments about
work or real-life. The new Job Tips and Leads Forum is a place for users
to swap info and job leads. Hagwon recruiters are not welcome. Do
you want to know about us? We
aren't apologists, we aren't here to bash Korea or Koreans, and we're not
perfect. Many Expatkorea users speak, read, and write
Korean, and most are happy to assist you. On that note, please be aware
that while many among us are involved in the ESL industry, many more are
not. Expat users tend to speak their mind and don't have a high tolerance
for issues from other website forums being introduced. We aren't "The
Cafe", and we don't want to be. If you post there, it's all good
here, but leave your baggage at the door. Everyone is
welcome here. If
you're still mulling over joining us, you have nothing to lose. Check out
the website FAQ, the fantastic user-submitted photos in the photo gallery,
or browse the forums. Some of our features are available only to regular
users, and these activate when logged in to the website. This site does
use cookies to remember your settings and personal preferences. If you're
new to the site, click on the "Site Tutorial" link for an
explanation of site features. We're currently expanding the section, and
expect it to be complete in a week or two. Lastly,
this is a moderated forum, and though we're fairly liberal with rules, and
language here, administrators can and will address abusive behavior. Enjoy
your stay, and thanks for visiting Expatkorea. RF
