I'm slowly getting around to catching up on some mised episodes of Lost. All of it is available for free from ABC.

I just came accross this one: Joost. Loks to be pretty good and has downloading. Looking at their forum, it might be a good idea to use an alternate email when setting it up, or you may get targeted email.

I've just received a list of FREE online film/video sites from a friend of mine, and have spent the last 3 hours checking them out.

They all work really well, although not every film listed is available on every site; you might have to check out some of the other sites to find a version of your selection that is accessible (some films are blocked to certain regions/zones; some have been removed after a set period of time; some may not be compatible with your system; some do not load, buffer, or run properly...). However, with a little diligent research, you can usually find what you want.

The sites do seem to work better on Mozilla Firefox rather than IE [although they will work on IE with the right video player setup...], and also on Apple Safari systems.

Definitely a great find, and literally hours and hours of content to check out...Among other things, these sites could be a real boon to anyone who'll be here over winter and who might not want to venture out too much on cold, crappy days...Overall, tho', they're great for viewing any time!

hi,

i tried to use some of the streaming sites, like streamingtv and adult swim, but got a message that it would only work in the u.s.

do i need to change some setting on my computer?

Thing is most of those streaming sites are linked to Hulu now...quality is great though.

Hulu only works in the USA so just get a US proxy and put it into your settings.

The streams are very smooth without constant annoying buffering. I haven't explored the other parts of the site but I'm sure they are just as good...

The shows aren't hosted at the site, and when possible they link to the same show on several different sites- so it's unlikely to get shut down. I've been using it for about a year and no complaints.

It's funny you should say that. I've been having trouble with that site. Most of their shows (available outside the US) are hosted on Megavideo, which is working fine, but lately the links aren't working.

I haven't been watching tons of TV because it's summertime, but are you sure they're not in trouble?
