Their quality was pretty good the last time they were here. Not Koreanized I mean. I don't pretend that it is authentic Mexican. I do enjoy it for what it is though and am glad they are coming back. It hasn't been quite twenty years since they pulled up their stakes. The Shinchon branch closed in 93, but the Kangnam branch was open until 94~95.

Back then, too, Korea was not quite Fast-food-ized yet. Plenty of other fast food chains went belly up for the same reasons (Wendy's, Hardee's, etc). Nobody ate fast food back then.

Now, after a generation has been weaned on McD's, Lotteria, BK, KFC, and Popeye's, and pizza, Taco Bell will stick around this time, even f they are shitty Mexican food. It's not like Koreans know what good Mexican food is anyway, so they won't know the difference.
